In today’s society, many of us experience a great deal
of pressure. This pressure can have a negative effect on job
performance. By providing easy access to professional counselling,
you can help your employees resolve their problems –
often before they start to affect quality of work.
An Employee Assistance program, or EAP, is a confidential
information, counselling and consultation service for you,
your employees and family members. Our primary purpose is
to offer support in dealing with stressful situations that
may interfere with work and personal life.
EAPs have long been endorsed by Unions, Management and Business
Owners. Most successful businesses view EAP as being of mutual
benefit to both the organization as a whole and to employees
at all levels.
Our EAP is completely confidential and has been designed
to provide you and your employees with direct access to experienced
caring professionals.
Our staff of professional, experienced counsellors offer
a wide range of expertise including:
- substance abuse, addictions and recovery
- parent – child conflict / management issues
- anger and stress management
- career transitioning
- grief and loss
- children’s mental health
- marital therapy
- childhood trauma
- anxiety and mood disorders

in solving your problems is the hardest one to take. From
the privacy of your own home, you can access our
On-Line Mental Health Screening. Studies show that as
many as 80% of employees who access the on-line screening,
seek further assistance.
Full support is available to both the employer and the employee;

Focus Workplace Ltd. Web site provides a link that allows
you the opportunity to take a screening test for depression/manic-depression,
alcohol problems, eating disorders and anxiety/post-traumatic
stress disorders. Since people can suffer from these disorders
at the same time, or one can cause symptoms that seem like
another, you may want to take all of the screenings offered.
Each screening will take between 4 to 5 minutes to complete.
At the end of each screening you will receive an immediate result that can
be printed and taken to a clinician or healthcare provider for further evaluation.
A screening test is not a substitute for a complete evaluation but it can help
you learn if your symptoms are consistent with depression/manic-depression,
an alcohol problem, an eating disorder or anxiety/post-traumatic stress disorder
and where to call for help.
This program is designed for individuals aged 17 and above.
The online screening is completely confidential. We do not
collect any unique identifying information such as names,
email addresses or IP addresses. Focus Workplace Ltd., your
employer nor the sponsoring organization can view your individual
results.
